Our Story

Frankie is a ceramic artist based in East Anglia – with a gallery in Suffolk and a studio in Essex. She enjoys working in a spontaneous fashion inspired by the colours and textures of the surrounding landscape. Coming from a creative background, Frankie moved to Suffolk having studied in London at Camberwell and Chelsea Art schools. Her BA (Hons) degree is from the University of the Arts, London and she is extremely experienced at both hand built and thrown ceramics, as well as teaching pottery to both adults and children alike.

Over the last three years Frankie has initiated a range of workshops and short courses through which she has shared her enthusiasm for ceramics to inspire and educate others.

In 2020 Frankie set up her studios in Ardleigh, where she operates a full workshop with potters’ wheels, space for hand-building, glazing and firing. You cannot fail but be inspired on every visit, when shelves full of creations both from Frankie herself, students or visiting potters are on constant view. Continuing the theme and success story, Frankie’s of Hadleigh gallery and Lifestyle store was opened in January 2022

Joining the small, close-knit team are a group of fellow creative people who bring the offering both at the gallery and studio to life through retail, workshops, studio sessions, private events and lifestyle gatherings.
