An Introduction to LINOCUT with HANNAH FARTHING Sun 9th June 10-1pm

Join lovely Hannah Farthing on Sunday 9th June 10-1pm. 
Hannah Farthing is a printmaker and illustrator from Suffolk specialising in linocuts inspired by landscape and nature. 
In this workshop, Hannah will take you through the process of creating your own linocut print by hand. From ideas and sketching out your design, to carving the block and finally printing your linocut by hand, Hannah will help you understand different approaches to image-making with the linocut process. You will be able to experiment with inking techniques and paper choices to achieve a variety of effects. At the end of the workshop you will take away your stack of prints and linocut block, ready to print more at home should you wish! 
It is helpful to think about what sort of image you would like to create prior to the workshop, and please do bring any specific reference photographs / images with you to the workshop that you find inspiring to draw from. Images on your phone and books or print outs work well. 
Remember to wear comfortable clothes that you are not worried about possibly getting inky!
All materials will be provided.
